Custom dual-angle video doorbell wedge

Does your doorbell camera point too far towards a wall or too high? This wedge changes its orientation in two planes. Set the front dimensions, horizontal and vertical tilt, and separate hole spacing for the wall and existing backplate. The printed wedge has fixed angles; it is not an adjustable hinge. What you can customise: Horizontal tilt from −40° to +40° and vertical tilt from −20° to +20°. Separate two-hole patterns for the wall and doorbell backplate. Optional central cable opening and flat seats for the wall screw heads. How to measure: 1. Measure the existing backplate width and length. This design accepts two centreline holes per face; other four-hole patterns do not fit directly. 2. Measure front backplate spacing and wall fixing spacing separately. Leave enough separation between the two pairs. 3. Check the desired viewing direction on site, set the angles and verify their signs in the preview. Include clearance around the cable. Assembly and trial fitting: 1. Trial-fit the wedge and backplate; check screw access and cable routing. Prepare the connection according to the doorbell instructions. 2. Attach the wedge using suitable wall fixings. Then mount the backplate into the front pilots with screws suitable for plastic. 3. Limit front screw engagement to 5 mm. Install the doorbell, check the view and add a suitable seal where the installation requires one. 3D printing notes: Print the flat wall face on the bed. ASA is a possible material for sun-exposed installations; account for processing requirements and shrinkage. Untested starting settings are 0.2 mm layers, five walls and 35% infill. Inspect angled pilot holes and overhangs in the slicer. Fit and included geometry: The model is a wedge, not an original doorbell backplate. Dimensions and the two-hole pattern must match; no brand compatibility has been validated. There is no integrated seal or claimed IP rating. Doorbell, screws, wall plugs and gasket are not included.
