Custom spacer for door and window sensors

A stepped frame can leave the sensor and magnet at different heights. This spacer raises either component to suit the installation. Adjust its length, width, height and sideways offset to the available mounting surface. The result is a single custom-sized pad for your existing door or window contact. What you can customise: Height from 3 to 40 mm to bridge different frame steps. Plain adhesive version or two counterbored screw holes. Sideways offset for mounting surfaces that do not line up. How to measure: 1. Close the window and mark the intended sensor and magnet positions. Read the permitted gap in the device instructions. 2. Measure the step perpendicular to the mounting surface. Account for adhesive on both faces in the required total height. 3. Check the footprint and moving-leaf clearance. For screw mounting, measure the screws, heads and centre spacing. Assembly and trial fitting: 1. Trial-fit the spacer and check window movement. Prepare contact surfaces according to the adhesive instructions. 2. Bond or screw down the spacer, then attach the sensor or magnet separately on top. 3. Open and close several times while checking the reported state. Adjust the position or height if needed. 3D printing notes: Print with the lower pad on the bed. PETG is a possible starting material indoors; 0.2 mm layers, four walls and 30% infill are untested starting settings. Zero offset usually needs no supports; inspect overhangs when combining a large offset with low height. Fit and included geometry: One spacer per export. The sensor, magnet, adhesive and screws are not modelled. There is no device-specific snap fitting. Detection gap and orientation depend on your sensor; this part does not establish alarm-system functionality or certification.
