Label a model with a name, number or short message and adjust its placement.
Rendered example views: 1 shows the original model and 2 the calculated result. The images illustrate the model geometry, not the editor interface.
A simple example
The plate gets the label “B8”. The image uses a text height setting of 2 mm; a small amount is embedded in the plate to connect it.
Step by step
- Choose Add and the text option. Enter “B8” and set the font and size.
- Click the intended area on the model. The preview shows where the label will sit.
- Move or rotate the text and set the relief height. Use surface following for a suitable curved area.
- Wait for the exact result preview. Check that every letter connects to the model, then apply.
What to check
Start with short text and sufficiently wide strokes. Surface following does not wrap around an entire cylinder. Very small lettering may be difficult to print even if its geometry is closed.
Preview and save
A preview is not a saved change. Wait for the checked result and choose Apply. If the button is disabled, read the message and check the selection or inputs. The offered STL download is paid; you will see the current price before purchase.
